"Island in Between" is a nice little film with something important to say. Leo is an artist, and he is getting recognition for his work. We recently did a film where our lead actor was Taiwanese and our director's wife also from Taiwan. The film was about the U.S. political system. It still got into the Chinese American Film Festival Competition, the only film festival in the world that is officially recognized by both the U.S. and Mainland Chinese Governments. It was amazing that we got accepted to the competition, but even more amazing when we won Best Independent Feature. I was shocked. I know I will never make the greatest film ever made or the most artistic, but at least I know I will make some of the most important.
